On September 29th, Centerforce hosted its Annual Awards and Open House to celebrate diversity in the workplace. Gary Peterson from Alaska Airlines was the presenter of our Employing Ability Award, which was awarded to Burlington Coat Factory for working alongside Centerforce to break down employment barriers for individuals with disabilities for over 20 years.
The Employing Ability Award recognizes employers of our clients who have acted as advocates for individuals with disabilities and have been critical in helping Centerforce reach its goal of reducing and removing employment barriers.
Brian Marlow of Keybank presented our Enriching Community Award to Tracie Brown, who has been a vocal advocate for individuals with disabilities in the community for many years. The Enriching Community Award celebrates individuals who have shown commitment to acting as a vocal advocate of Centerforce, its mission, and the community by dedicating their support, finances, service, volunteer time, and talent.
