Steilacoom High School Band kicks off Steilacoom Farmers’ Market season, June 1

Locally acclaimed Steilacoom High School Band kicks off the Market season Wednesday, June 1 at 6:30pm performing at Pioneer Orchard Park, overlooking beautiful South Puget Sound and the Olympics, at the West end of the Market on Commercial Street. The market is open at 3pm at the corner of Lafayette & Wilkes Street.

Celebrating its 8th year of providing access to some of the best locally-grown and prepared foods and handcrafted goods, the Steilacoom Farmers’ Market presents more than 55 stalls of fresh produce, sustainably-raised oysters & clams, fresh-baked breads and pastries, flowers, potted plants, community service information, cooking demonstrations focused on easy, seasonal, nutritious meals for busy people on the go, and fun activities for kids!

June 1st Highlights: Harbor Wild Watch brings their Get Your Feet Wet program to the Market with a salt-water touch-tank, where kids young and old can learn about the sea animals that live in the waters at our doorstep, and how to keep our waters healthy.

When: June 1st to August 31st 3:00pm – 7:00pm
Where: I-5 Exit 119 DuPont-Steilacoom, at the corner of Lafayette & Wilkes Street, near the cities of DuPont, University Place and Lakewood.
