Hoops 4 Heroes is a fundraising basketball game to support our Army and National Guard on Joint Base Lewis-McChord. The game is hosted by The Association of the United States Army: DuPont Subchapter.
The action starts Thursday March 10, 2016 at Steilacoom High School; 54 Sentinel Drive Steilacoom WA 98388, from 6:30-9:00 pm. Entry fee: Donation at the door.
The players consist of our very own JBLM Soldiers vs. Pierce County First Responders.
The heat is on … no pun intended. Our Boys in Blue have been heard to say that they do not intend to lose. While the boys in green suggested that Team 911 may need to be calling 911 when they’re done with them.
Former Seattle Supersonic Slick Watts and University of Washington Star Donald Watts will be coaching these teams to greatness.
Medal of Honor recipient Leroy Petry will be doing the Tipoff and the Seahawks Beast Bus as well as the USO Canteen will be joining us.
Rumor has it there may be a halftime show you won’t want to miss featuring some of Tacoma’s finest Officers. If their dance moves fail them, at least we’ll have First Responders on the scene!
Don’t miss out on a chance to support all of our Heroes by coming out to Hoops 4 Heroes.
The AUSA is strictly a volunteer 501©3 organization. Its members consist of civilians and military, working together to support our Army and National Guard. 100% of the proceeds will go to support soldiers stationed out of Joint Base Lewis McChord.
