By Paul Nimmo

The end of football season is always a sign that Baseball is just around the corner. Registration is underway for the spring season. There is still time to register your youth.

Still have questions?
Lakewood Baseball Club is holding a “Live Registration Event” at the McDonalds on 100th Street, Thursday February 18, from 5-7 p.m. You can meet with LBC volunteers to answer your questions and walk through the registration process.

Wait, there is more…
The “Live Registration Event” is also a take-over benefiting Lakewood Baseball Club. Come out, learn about Lakewood Baseball Club, make dinner planning easy and benefit Lakewood Baseball Club at the same time.

WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT? LAKEWOOD BASEBALL CLUB (LBC)
LBC is affiliated with PONY baseball. The PONY baseball program was created for all players to be able to participate in baseball. We want to Protect Our Nation’s Youth as they grow into young men and women and leaders of tomorrow. PONY is a community based program for everyone in the family to enjoy.

Serving the community since 1991
We are a nonprofit organization providing area youth AGES 4-19 the opportunity to play the great game of baseball. Our players come from Lakewood, Tacoma, Puyallup, University Place, Parkland, Steilacoom and surrounding areas. They are placed into divisions based on age and skill level. We are not affiliated with Lakewood Parks & Recreation or Clover Park Schools, but we do use many of their fields.

Our coaches are VOLUNTEERS, many being parents of players, who step up to the plate to provide opportunities for the youth of our community. Volunteers also serve in operational positions, such as the Board Officers, committee chairs, registration, sponsorships and many others. Can’t have a league without their help.

MISSION STATEMENT
The Lakewood Baseball Club strives to instill in our youth the belief in good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty and a sense of teamwork so that they may become strong, healthy, well-adjusted members of the community.

It is our mission as coaches and parents to provide a healthy atmosphere for our players, regardless of ability or experience, in which they are able to learn the positive aspects of baseball and utilize what they learn, on and off the field.
